OneMusic Australia extends COVID-19 fee-relief to events industry

Off the back of a nationwide fee-relief program, OneMusic Australia has extended concert promoters and festival operators a 10% discount on their music licence fees over summer.

Music events held between 1 December 2020 and 31 March 2021 with reports (including set lists) turned around to OneMusic within 14 days automatically qualify for the discount.

Catherine Giuliano, Director of OneMusic Australia said

Live music - the lifeblood of our industry - has been decimated.
By spreading the fee-relief we have given to clubs, pubs and cafes to our customers staging events, we are helping get events back at a time when millions of Australians are on the move and hanging out for a live music event to make their summer break memorable.
By asking event promoters to submit their set lists earlier and pay on time, we can help royalties flow to music creators quicker than ever in this difficult time.

Promoters do not need to apply for this discount. If their promoted music event qualifies and they pay on time, OneMusic Australia will automatically apply the 10% discount.

The discount will apply to all these promoters who license with OneMusic Australia any 1 December 2020 - 31 March 2021 music event. This includes those customers that have already submitted an Agreement to us.

For smaller events where licence holders are not required to provide set lists (such as events licensed under APRA’s Casual Public Performance Licence), this discount will not apply.

OneMusic Australia's offices are closed from 5pm Tuesday 22 December 2020 and will re-open Wednesday 6 January 2021.
