2023 best dining venues revealed

OneMusic were proud to be part of the Restaurant and Catering Association’s State Awards for Excellence which took place around the country between August and November.

The awards give restaurants, cafes and caterers well-deserved recognition for their hard work, exceptional food and outstanding service in this country’s vibrant industry.

Recognising operators in metropolitan and regional centres, the awards held in each state provide an opportunity for the restaurant and catering industry to come together, celebrate and network.

The awards represent the best of the best in Australian dining, and span over 50 categories. So many of our licensees were honoured as finalists and winners in each state! We’ve loved being able to attend each gala dinner and meet them.

So far, we’ve brought along a local musician to perform at each state awards – Helen Shanahan, Jess Reiss, Ryan Martin-John, Jess Fairlie, Bec Taylor, Andrea Kirwin and Danielle Lamb! They have also graciously agreed to speak to the audience at each event about their lived experience being a working songwriter/musician and how music licensing is crucial to their industry.

The OneMusic Excellence Award, as part of the national Restaurant & Catering Association Awards series celebrates the dining venues who have elevated music to be their premier marketing draw card. We are happy to announce our state winners are:

WA – Gyspy Tapas House

QLD/NT – Crunchy’s Dessert Cafe

VIC/TAS – Pistol Pete’s Food & Blues

SA – Atelier Crafers

NSW – The Blind Pig Sound Lounge and Bar

To close out another fantastic year in hospitality, the National Awards for Excellence will take place in Sydney at Le Montage on November 20, where one of the above state winners will be crowned the National Winner of the OneMusic Excellence Award for 2023!

Who will it be?

The fabulous Jess Reiss Duo will be our final performer at the National Awards For Excellence, they’re sure to get the party started! Get your tickets now.
